Search for the WhippetWear SuperModel 08 Competition

We are searching for the WhippetWear Super Model 08 that has personality, pizzazz and style. All whippets are beautiful, so all colours & ages are encouraged to enter.

PRIZES

The winner will win a custom wardrobe of WhippetWear coats comprising of a LUXE, RELAX, & LOUNGE coat & will grace the WhippetWear website in 2009. All finalists will win a custom made WhippetWear LOUNGE coat. Coat prize colour choices will be limited to available colours.

ELIGIBILITY

The competition is open only to whippets that have had coats purchased exclusively for them from Whippetwear, with the coat being worn in the photo submitted.

The quality of the photo entry (max 3 photos per one entry) will also determine eligibility, as we need to edit & apply some magic to all finalist photos. Entry is via an emailed digital photo, preferably with a 5-7 megapixel digital camera. Please clearly identify your entry with your name, whippet’s name & country of residence.

All entries need to be submitted to info@whippetwear.com by the closing date of November 30, 2008. Finalists will be selected & shown on the WhippetWear website with the WhippetWear Super Model being chosen in December 2008.

POSES

Eligible poses only, are with your whippet at eye level with the camera, either standing square facing the camera, or with your whippet trotting straight at the camera. Please refer to our Runway & SuperModel 07 Finalists photos on the website as examples.

TIPS

For the standing pose, standing your whippet on a table or bench works well with treats or trotting your whippet down a driveway or on a verandah with the camera person low at whippet eye level is super.
Have a very fine lead & collar or no collar (show leads are great or string). We wish to edit the finalist photos so you can’t see the collar, lead or background, so the less collar or no collar the better.

Have your whippet look at the camera, so treats will help! For quiet whippets this will help capture their personality in the photo.

ENTRY CONDITIONS

The judges decision will be final & no bribing with treats will influence the judging panel. All entries may be edited by WhippetWear & will remain property of WhippetWear.
